For many, the Who died when the wildest of rock and roll drummers, Keith Moon, died in 1978. Moon has proven to be irreplaceable, and the Kenny Jones/Warner Brothers period of the Who which followed, with the exception of Eminence Front ...and I got a chill flashing back to that eardrum-shattering moment thanks to Sunday's performance.) I just wonder who the Union Jack-jacketed drummer with the Mod target cymbals was? His gear was fab, even if he wasn't quite Keith Moon ...Keith Moon the original drummer died at age 32 in '78 and John Entwistle the original bassist died at age 57 in 2002. See if the names of two of the current band who performed today sound familiar: Drummer Zak Starkey and rhythm ...I still don't think they look right without Keith Moon. He was a proper drummer. Barking mad as well. Tis true. They recovered fairly well from the death of drummer Keith Moon, drafting the solid Kenny Jones. The loss of the great John Entwistle on bass was something they never really recovered from. The band now performs with Pino Palladino on ...The drums are SICK in this song. It's pretty cool because up until the end, the guitar is acoustic, but Keith is just beating the crap out of his kit.     Then 10 years some new band tries to emulate their sound.
    Wouldn't that make you angry?

    If this is a tribute the members better say it but if they go and claim that the made the music on their own than they are wrong and you know it.
